CLOWN ROUND - IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SUFFOLK ARTLINK
Clown Round brings fun, laughter and distraction to support young people in hospitals, hospices and soon to refugee families as well. Clown Doctors visit children of all ages to share their clowning, storytelling, music, magic and circus skills.
Suffolk Artlink is a participatory arts charity. They develop and deliver inclusive arts programmes in communities that bring skills, support networks, confidence and joy to people in the East.
Lucy Enskat has worked as a Healthcare Clown on the Clown Round project in a freelance capacity for Suffolk Artlink since 2014 and in the Project Development Officer role 2022/23. With her Hocus Pocus Theatre hat on she worked in collaboration with Suffolk Artlink in the recruitment of new artists, expanding the team and delivering a training programme for the new Healthcare Clowns with thanks to Arts Council England Funding.
CLOWN THROUGH MASK - SUE MORRISON
In April 2023, Hocus Pocus Theatre hosted world-renowned clown teacher, Sue Morrison, for ‘Clown Through Mask’, a two week residency at The Seagull Theatre as part of the Clown Round team's continued professional development in collaboration with Suffolk Artlink.
